I always liked this illustration. Once I had to create a program that need to have a place to put stuff on hold. So, I thought it would be funny to put stuff on the Back Burner. Use it as you may. This one’s on me.

Yo Yo Yo. Calling all you raver dance party super freaks I got the turntable EPS file for your next big gig. Download it and slap it on whatever. I don’t care how you use this. It’s got that hot old school Technics look about it.

This is just one of many optical illusions that can make your brain hurt. I don’t remember where I originally say this design but for some reason I had to recreate it. If you watch the Howard Stern On Demand channel you’ll see his intro uses a similar layout with some cool other graphics incorporated. Download this Free EPS file and tweak it out which every why you want.
Here is a pretty cool web tool that will allow you to manipulate photos on location when you might not have access to powerful tools like Photoshop. Also, you can give it access to your flickr account and it will sync up with all your sets. Picnik offers a more advanced tool for about 25 bucks a year but I just can’t seem to justify paying that. Considering I have access to Photoshop the king of photo manipulation.
Resizor is basically a way to fit photos into whatever size image you may need. Like extending images for banners or fitting images into nonstandard devices like cell phones. This product is really interesting to see in action but seeing photos squash and stretch send chills down my spine. In the wrong hand this could be really bad. I already see too many people not able to grasp the concept of proportionately scaling images. The inventor is extremely talented and I thought I heard that he was hired on at Adobe. So, I’m sure we’ll be seeing something very similar in the new Photoshop very soon. Here is another Resizor type site that my twitter friend Tom Chapin says is way better. Thanks Tom.
I love what people are doing with interior design, vinyl and some craft designs. You must check out these two sites e-glue(FR) and Blink. Finally we can stop putting Calvin pissing on stuff and these messed up memorials messages on cars. What is up with those? I have access to my own vinyl cutter so I think I might litter my child’s Potter closet with cute creatures. Remember the days of going to linkup.com or checking out flashkit.com for the site of the day for inspiration.Well those days are long gone. Now with flash mainly being used for video and site accent pieces, traditional web design using CSS or AJAX seems so much cooler. Screenfluent covers the total spectrum of cool web design and current trends. If you’re lacking something in your designs I bet you can find a good idea somewhere on this site.

If you have spent any time in the design industry you’re bound to relate to this video. The Web Design world is full of acronyms, abbreviations and catchy terms that can confuse many of us and our clients. Now you can usually just do a simple Google search and get the answer to your questions, but I keep finding myself being directed to The Motive Web Design Glossary. I don’t know much about the company “Motive”, but I do believe that if a company is willing to share their expertise like they do, they must be a quality company. -Thanks Motive |
